I am always excited for the New Year. I love setting new goals and making plans for all the cool stuff I want to accomplish in the upcoming year. I think I like it too much. I set so many goals and make so many plans, that I feel burned out a month later.
This past April, I quit my day job to embark out on my own. Again, I set lots of goals and made lots of plans. I told you, I’m a goal junkie. But, 6 months later, I’ve been distracted by so many shiny objects and revelations that I haven’t really made very much progress in my business. I find myself not getting much done and spinning my wheels.
But I figured out what’s been missing: Focus.
I need to focus on a couple of goals at a time until I reach them. Then I can set new goals and focus on those. So here goes. It’s time to set a few new goals and focus only on those goals for the next 3 months.
My Goals for the Rest of 2015
- Start making healthier lifestyle decisions.
This one’s a personal one; but, I find it’s super connected to how productive I am. I want to start eating food that gives me energy instead of making me want to nap on the couch. I also want to start being more active. I spend way too much time sitting down. Time to get off my butt and get moving!
- Uplevel my content game.
I want to start sharing more content. I want to share practical tips for other business owners and give a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes of my business and in my personal life. I also want to start a podcast (for other creatives) and a youtube (just for fun, because I always wanted to). This is a hefty goal, but if I focus on it and put in the work, things will happen.
- Launch 2 info products.
I want to jump into the info products game. I have been working on an ebook that I am hoping to launch soon and I also want to create an ecourse by the end of the year. Again, it’s a hefty goal, but it is totally doable if I stay focused.
Those are my goals. It feels good to have a direction and to hopefully have some goal crushing momentum to take into 2016.
Do your goals need a refresh? Do you need to reset and refocus?
